| After a multi-year rewriting exercise, FAA Order 8900.1 Volume 3, Chapter 6 has been amended and approved for the first time in nearly a decade. The new order will include creation of the new dynamic maneuvering credential, acknowledgement of the Air Boss Recognition Program and eventual requirement that all air bosses hold an FAA-issued Letter of Authorization, mandated emergency response drills during Friday rehearsal shows, specific requirements on the placement of Crash/Fire/Rescue vehicles, corrections and updates to longstanding guidance, and much more.
