| In what has become an ICAS Convention tradition and an important opportunity for performers to de-brief the just-concluded air show season with their colleagues, this special two-hour session will address a wide variety of safety-related issues specific to air show performers. This year’s session will include two unique components: a panel discussion on display flying with three accomplished test pilots with extensive air show experience and a review of the performer-related changes in FAA Order 8900.1, Volume 3, Chapter 6, Section 1, recently revised and released by the FAA. The session will also include analysis of and information on recent accidents -- both here in North America and overseas -- with a special focus on how those accidents are indicative of larger, long-term trends and recurring problems. |
